... for Windows-based computers and Outlook/Outlook Express users
Prepare your home PC for the changes in
Daylight Savings Time
On August 8, 2005, the U.S. Congress passed and President George W. Bush signed into law the Energy Policy Act of 2005. Buried within the 1,724 pages of the Act are changes to the start and end of Daylight Savings Time.
Starting in 2007 Daylight Savings Time begins at 2 A.M. on the second Sunday in March (three weeks earlier) and ends at 2 A.M. on the first Sunday in November (one week later).
Although the primary focus of the Microsoft updates is on e-mail (Exchange, Outlook and Outlook Express), everyone running a Windows-based computer (Windows 2000 and Windows XP) should update their PC. Windows Vista already has the necessary updates.
This document will assist you in updating your home, Windows-based computer so that it will be ready for the new Daylight Savings Time.
