Please join us for the Florida State University Graduate School Open House – GradQuest. GradQuest will help answer some of the following questions:
• What are some of the achievements of outstanding FSU faculty and graduate students?
• What should I expect academically and financially as a FSU graduate student?
• What are graduate, teaching and research assistantships?
• Which social opportunities and services are available to FSU graduate students?
The Office of Graduate Studies will host the morning session and the complimentary luncheon.
The afternoon session will be hosted by the Department of Communication. In the afternoon session you will meet with Communication faculty and current graduate students to discuss how the Department of Communication graduate programs can meet your professional goals. Please see the afternoon session schedule below.
GradQuest: Department of Communication Afternoon Schedule
1:00 - 2:00 FSU Campus Van Tour for Visitors
Location: Tour begins at Oglesby Union directly after the GradQuest luncheon and ends at University Center Building C Department of Communication
2:00 – 2:30 Department of Communication Tour
Location: Tour begins in the University Center Building C courtyard.
Department Chair Steve McDowell will provide a tour of the department facilities
2:30 – 3:00 Meet Dean John Mayo and Department Faculty
Location: University Center C Suite 4400
Dean Mayo will introduce visitors to potential faculty mentors.
3:00 – 3:30 Student Showcase
Location: University Center C Suite 4400
Current students in the Integrated Marketing Communication and Media and Communication Studies programs will present recent projects.
3:30 - 4:30 Faculty/Staff/Student Reception
Location: University Center C Suite 4400
Visitors are invited for refreshments and to talk with faculty, staff and current students.
Please Note: Visitors that park at the Oglesby Union will be directed on how to return to their car via bus.
